Will help teams to write proper technical documentation

Upload the documentation to a portal

Facilitate the collection of the documentation

Bank has received rewards for their way of documenting

Native or excellent English is a must

Technical background (of the things mentioned is the description)

There are future opportunities, extension is possible (reorganise the documentation of the bank will be necessary, date is not correct it should be 2022)

Needs to be a quick learner and getting up to speed with the current processes

Relocation is ok if candidate can start soon (preferably before July 1st)



Function


Assignment context and description of activities


As a Technical Writer, your role involves tasks such as writing conceptual overviews and procedures, reviewing API reference documentation, and improving documentation practices.

In this role, you will develop and improve API documentation that communicates to both internal and external audiences. Responsibilities include:

To create, maintain, and improve internal and external technical documentation.

Review and publish API reference documentation files (YAML).

Based on the Technical Writing Style Guide, review and improve technical documentation.

Provide training, in the form of workshops, to content authors and teams.

Implement and manage a Docs-as-Code workflow.

Plan and complete large content initiatives, such as section reviews and handbooks.

Plan and lead documentation projects to enhance current and new features.

Manage multiple priorities in an agile environment that is constantly changing.

Edit, clarify, and proofread documents written by others, and coach non-writers on ways to improve their writing skills.

Work closely with engineers and developers to create online help, process documents, design specifications, and deployment/installation guides.

Requirements


Relevant knowledge, skills, competences & desired education level


Minimal:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, other core sciences, or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in technical documentation, product documentation, and content publishing.

Experience working with API reference docs and developer guides.

Knowledge of Docs-as-Code workflows and tools, particularly Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Git.


Preferably:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, other core sciences, or equivalent experience.

Experience working with API reference docs and developer guides.
