As a Responsible Investment agile team we design, build and maintain a suite of investment decision support systems that enable our business to make just and informed decisions on ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) related topics.

Responsible investment is a fast growing area and is one of APG-AM’s main strategic growth pillars for the years to come. Because this field is constantly changing creativity, collaboration and an engineering mentality are essential qualities.

Function

As an Epic Owner you should be able to support the working group with one of the key strategic initiatives of the organization involving the implementation and decommissioning of systems, in the areas of planning and monitoring of sprints, program increments and stakeholder management, the latter being both internal and external to the organization. Interaction will be with several teams based in Amsterdam / Heerlen.

On top of that you will participate in several Agile ceremonies within the team Responsible Investments. The place of employment for the Epic Owner is Amsterdam but regular presence in our Heerlen premises will be required.

As an Epic Owner you will report directly to the Value Stream Manager Invest Money.


Requirements

APG Asset Management has embraced the APG elaboration of SAFe® (APG Collaboration Model).


We are looking for a person who has:

• at least a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a role as Epic Owner or a similar

role (e.g. Project Manager);

• a minimum of 5 years’ exposure to the Asset Management industry;

• strong organizational skills, the ability to work under pressure and to

successfully manage multiple tasks;

• the ability to create and manage planning’s;

• strong decision making skills and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines;

• excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus) in

order to interact with the business;

• high-energy, is highly motivated and has the ability to liaise with different

stakeholders of the firm.

• the ability to deliver high level of service and quality;

• strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as attention to detail;

• the ability to liaise with all levels of management;

• the ability to articulate problems with a mind-set of simplifying and automating;

• strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, client service orientation

and resilience;

• a relevant work experience within an Agile environment, you know the SAFe®

framework.


Additionally you:

• are a team player with a positive attitude

• are able to work independently;

• have plenary meetings with stakeholders;

• are results oriented with personal accountability;

• can actively maintain JIRA boards and can work with Teams, PowerPoint,

Excel, Word, Visio, Project, SharePoint, OneDrive and Sway;

• can actively maintain the (shared) workgroup files (OneDrive, SharePoint);

• manage the data analysis & presentations, meetings and events preparations.
