Assignment context and description of activities

Assignment context and description of activities:Candidate will join a Scrum team that develops and maintains one or more applications that are used internally. Candidate is expected to do primarily development work but also CI/CD activities and getting requirements from stakeholders.The team works closely with business, so it is expected from candidate to be willing to learn about business logic of our products, which is mostly economy and finance related.The team is positioned within the Financial Risk department as an important part of IFRS9 chain of calculations that will produce provision (cushion money) needed for each of the banks entity.Rating Service team mainly works on three below given applications.1. Rats_ECL (Backend is plain python code which acts as a wrapper for models developed by other team and Oracle database): This is main project for calculation provision for our latest models processed in batch.2. RATS_Segmentation (Java Spring framework): Streaming service application which calculates segments and provision for older models.3. Probloss (Java Spring framework): Support application for the RATS_Segmentation project.Our main activity now is migrating Java projects into Python, so eventually we will only have Python projects withing our team. For that reason, we also need a candidate with basic to medior knowledge of Java as well.

Relevant knowledge, skills, competences:

* Advanced Python knowledge

* Flask/Django/FastAPI

* Docker

* Java 8

* Oracle/MS SQL

* Exposure to: Jenkings/Azure DevOps/AWS

* Experience in developing big projects from scratch Really good to have knowledge of:

* Azure pipelines

* Kubernetes Good to have or willing to learn:

* Data science tools (Pandas, Numpy, etc…)

* Spring/Spring Boot

* Knowledge of Design patterns/principles

* Hazelcast (or any caching engine) Non-Technical Skills:

* Follows DevOps practices

* Taking ownership

* Willing to lead the change

* Team effort supporter

* Ability to teach

* Proficient in English
